Spain Spouse Visa
The Spain Spouse Visa allows the spouse of a Spanish citizen or legal resident to live in Spain. This visa grants the right to reside, work, and travel freely within Spain and the Schengen Zone.
The following family members may also obtain the visa:
- The spouse or unmarried partner
- Dependent children
- Dependent parents
To qualify for a Spain Spouse Visa, the sponsoring spouse must demonstrate sufficient financial resources to support the applicant.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be at least 18+
- Provide evidence of a legally recognized marriage (translated and legalized)
- Show proof of sufficient financial resources from the Spanish spouse
- Have no criminal record
- Not be in Spain with irregular immigration status
- Provide proof of adequate accommodation in Spain


Visa Duration and Renewal
- The initial visa is granted for three months and extended to one year after entry.
- It can be renewed for up to four years.
- After five years of residency, you become eligible for Permanent Residency.
