What is a B-1 and B-2 Visa?

The B-2 Tourist Visa is intended for visitors traveling for leisure, tourism, visiting family and friends, attending events, or obtaining medical treatment. B-2 visa holders cannot engage in employment while in the U.S.
Rules for B-1 and B-2 Visa Holders
- Maximum stay: 6 months
- Must be self-supported and cannot work in the U.S.

- May engage in incidental or recreational study if eligible
